   1 LambdaMOO is a network-accessible, multi-user, programmable, interactive
   2 system well-suited to the construction of text-based adventure games,
   3 conferencing systems, and other collaborative software.

   5 Its most common use, however, is as a multi-participant,
   6 low-bandwidth virtual reality, and it is with this focus in mind
   7 that I describe it here.
