   1 Ecasound is a software package designed for multitrack audio
   2 processing. It can be used for simple tasks like audio playback,
   3 recording and format conversions, as well as for multitrack effect
   4 processing, mixing, recording and signal recycling. Ecasound supports
   5 a wide range of audio inputs, outputs and effect algorithms.
   6 Effects and audio objects can be combined in various ways, and their
   7 parameters can be controlled by operator objects like oscillators
   8 and MIDI-CCs. As most functionality is located in shared libraries,
   9 creating alternative user-interfaces is easy. A versatile console mode
  10 interface is included in the package.
