   1 Lout is a document formatting system similar in style to LaTeX. It
   2 offers a very full range of features, including PostScript, PDF, and
   3 plain text output, optimal paragraph and page breaking, automatic
   4 hyphenation, PostScript EPS file inclusion and generation, equation
   5 formatting, tables, diagrams, rotation and scaling, sorted indexes,
   6 bibliographic databases, running headers and odd-even pages, automatic
   7 cross referencing, multilingual documents including hyphenation (most
   8 European languages are supported, including Russian), formatting of
   9 computer programs, and more. Lout may be extended by writing definitions
  10 which are much simpler than the equivalent troff of TeX macros.
