   1 The PEAR::Net_Ident implements Identification Protocol according
   2 to RFC 1413.

   4 The Identification Protocol (a.k.a., "ident", a.k.a., "the Ident
   5 Protocol") provides a means to determine the identity of a user
   6 of a particular TCP connection. Given a TCP port number pair, it
   7 returns a character string which identifies the owner of that
   8 connection on the server's system.
