  36 .Sh DESCRIPTION
  37 The

  39 module handles the TKIP and Michael cryptographic requirements of the
  40 WPA and 802.11i protocols.
  41 It does encapsulation and decapsulation of TKIP-encoded 802.11 frames
  42 and optionally calculates the TKIP cipher and Michael MIC.
  43 The

  45 module is an 802.11 cryptographic plugin module for use by the
  46 .Xr wlan 4
  47 module.
  48 This module is automatically loaded if a TKIP key is configured;
  49 typically by a WPA supplicant program such as wpa_supplicant,
  50 or a WPA authenticator program such as
  51 .Nm hostapd .
  52 Should the underlying network device not be capable of doing the TKIP
  53 and/or Michael calculations in hardware, the
  54 .Nm
