The DragonFly project has several mailing lists for discussion. To subscribe to a mailing list, send an email to one of the *-request addresses listed below with the word 'subscribe' in the body, like this: To: test-request@dragonflybsd.org Subject: blah subscribe The list server will authenticate you by sending you an email. You must adjust the Subject line of the authentication mail and reply to it. After authentication you may post to the list via listname@dragonflybsd.org, like this: To: test@dragonflybsd.org Subject: your_subject_here Testing 1 2 3! Please use the test list for experimentation and remember to unsubscribe from it when you are done (unless you want to see other people's test messages!). Messages that include HTML sent to any of the lists will be blocked as spam. Please make sure your messages - including subscription requests - are sent as plain text. These mailing lists may also be accessed through newsgroups or nntp. Posts to newsgroups will be forwarded to the appropriate mailing list and vice versa. Posts to the bugs or submit groups/mailing lists are also mirrored on our [issue tracker](http://bugs.dragonflybsd.org/). **For details on how to subscribe, unsubscribe, or perform other mailing list tasks, please read [[Mailing List Commands|docs/user/mailing_list_commands]].** ## IRC channel For more immediate communication, DragonFly users and developers are often available via IRC on #dragonflybsd, on EFNet. ## By mail * Bug Reporting - [bugs-request@dragonflybsd.org](mailto:bugs-request@dragonflybsd.org) * General/User - [users-request@dragonflybsd.org](mailto:users-request@dragonflybsd.org) * Kernel Related - [kernel-request@dragonflybsd.org](mailto:kernel-request@dragonflybsd.org) * Patch Submissions - [submit-request@dragonflybsd.org](mailto:submit-request@dragonflybsd.org) * Commit Messages - [commits-request@dragonflybsd.org](mailto:commits-request@dragonflybsd.org) * Documentation Related - [docs-request@dragonflybsd.org](mailto:docs-request@dragonflybsd.org) * HAMMER Filesystem Porting - [hammer-request@dragonflybsd.org](mailto:hammer-request@dragonflybsd.org) * Test Postings - [test-request@dragonflybsd.org](mailto:test-request@dragonflybsd.org) ## By news * Bug Reporting - [news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.bugs](news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.bugs) * Non-kernel General/Users Related - [news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.users](news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.users) * Kernel Related - [news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.kernel](news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.kernel) * Patch Submissions - [news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.submit](news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.submit) * Commit Messages - [news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.commits](news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.commits) * Documentation Related - [news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.docs](news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.docs) * HAMMER Filesystem Porting - [news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.hammer](news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.hammer) * Test Postings - [news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.test](news://nntp.dragonflybsd.org/dragonfly.test) ## By web archive * [leaf.dragonflybsd.org/mailarchive/](http://leaf.dragonflybsd.org/mailarchive/) (official, all groups) * [archive.netbsd.se](http://archive.netbsd.se/?cn=DragonFlyBSD) (all groups) * [marc.theaimsgroup.com](http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/) (all groups except docs and test, in BSD section) * [Gmane.org](http://news.gmane.org/gmane.os.dragonfly-bsd.kernel/) (kernel only)
