+The 2.8 release is in its final stretches!  Package building for 2010Q3, ISOs, and
+IMGs are uploading to our mirrors as we speak.  For various reasons we had to roll
+through a couple of release tags so we will be releasing with 2.8.2.  Look in this

+The 2.8 release will again feature GUI USB stick images along with the standard
+ISO (std CD) and USB IMG (1G) files for both i386 and x86-64.
+The GUI USB stick image requires a 4G USB stick and features a basic, working X
+environment with firefox, fully broken out source and pkgsrc trees including
+the .git repo, and a larger set of pre-installed packages.
