   1        Elm is an interactive screen-oriented mailer program  that
   2        supersedes mail and mailx.

   4        It is itself superseeded by mutt, in the view of many people.

   6        This is the ME extended version which deals with MIME messages
   7        a lot better than the regular elm. The regular elm can be found
   8        in the mail/elm package.
