New package to inspect squid caches and extract data from them.
Patched for pkgsrc pathnames (default location of squid config file),
and for NetBSD; probably needs help for other pkgsrc platforms but not
marked ONLY_ because there's no good reason it can't be made to work.

While not useful to run this w/o squid, the package does not depend on
it because it can be built and installed without it.

The package and binary are named squidpurge because purge seems too
likely to conflict and squid users are more likely to notice it this way.

The purge tool is a kind of magnifying glass into your squid-2 cache.
You can use purge to have a look at what URLs are stored in which file
within your cache.  The purge tool can also be used to release objects
which URLs match user specified regular expressions.  It can extract
objects matching a regular expression, creating a directory tree
matching the server layout.  A more troublesome feature is the ability
to remove files squid does not seem to know about any longer.

Reimport x11/imake to x11/XFree86-imake.

This is for consistent naming with other XFree86 packages
and also to better identify it is different from xorg-imake
package.

The Ski simulator is a software package designed to functionally
simulate the IA-64 processor architecture at the instruction level.
Ski offers an informative, screen-oriented machine-state display and a
friendly, powerful command-line interface. Programs may be loaded from
disk in executable format; they may be run from start to finish, single-
stepped, and break-pointed. Execution can occur in a text-oriented or
a graphical user interface or in batch-mode, with no user-interface at
all. Both the user-level and the system-level machine-state can be
simulated. For user-level execution, Ski will intercept IA-64 Linux
system calls and translate them into the corresponding system calls of
the host operating system.

Text::Unaccent is a module that remove accents from a string.
unac_string converts the input string from the specified charset
to UTF-16 and call unac_string_utf16 to return the unaccented

Welcome to the File System Construction Kit!  This is a software
package that accompanies the book, Practical File System Design, which
Dominic Giampaolo wrote and is published by Morgan Kaufmann (ISBN
1558604979).

This package is a very simple framework in which you can experiment
with a working (but simple) file system implementation.  The framework
is designed so that you can go in and modify one part of it, such as
how the used and free disk blocks are managed, and not have to touch
the rest of the file system.  And because the package creates its file
system inside of a normal file on your hard disk, you don't have to
have a spare disk or require special (root) privileges to run the
program.  The goal is that this package should provide a convenient
test bed for trying out new file system ideas without having to go
through the pain and difficulty of creating a real kernel based file
system.  The API is generic enough however that after an you debug
your implementation within this framework it could be moved to a real
kernel based file system for the BeOS or a Unix like operating system.

This package has a "no commercial use" licence.

verifypc is a tool that sanity checks the dependencies of a package based on
the results of a successful build, assuming the package uses pkg-config to
detect dependencies.

verifypc will warn you if the configuration script requests an uninstalled
or unavailable package (not specified as a direct dependency) or if the
requested package does not match the version specification in the packages'
dependencies.

Heme is a fast and portable console hex editor for unix systems.  It
has undo support (number of undo operations is only limited by
available memory), ability to fill a range of addresses with the
specified byte, ability to search for a single byte or character
string.

Offsets can be given in hexadecimal, octal or decimal.  There are two
editing modes: hex and ascii.  In hex mode you type hexadecimal digits
and in ascii mode you type characters.  In the ascii mode cursor is
automatically moved to the next byte after typing a character (this
behaviour is configurable for hex mode).

scamper is a program that conducts traceroute to large numbers of IPv4
and IPv6 addresses in parallel to fill a specified packets-per-second rate.

scamper can do ICMP based Path MTU discovery. scamper starts with the
outgoing interface's MTU and discovers the location of PMTU bottlenecks.
Recent revision of scamper do a PMTU search when an ICMP fragmentation
required message is not returned to establish the PMTU to the next point
in the network, followed by a TTL limited search to infer the hop
where failure appears to occur.

MOC (music on console) is a console audio player for LINUX/UNIX
designed to be powerful and easy to use. Noteworthy features
include:

  * By default, files are decoded and played in a background
    process. This allows the user to quit the interface (e.g.,
    if one needs to close the xterm) without affecting
    playback. It also allows attaching multiple interfaces
    (e.g. in multiple xterms) to the same player.
  * Playback should be smooth even under high cpu or I/O load,
    due to the use of output buffering in a separate thread.
  * There are no sound gaps in between files, because the next
    file to be played is precached while playing the current
    file.

Note: To avoid conflicts with Qt's 'moc', the moc binary is
called 'mocp'.

Picprg is a PIC programmer for a common design of programmer attached to a PC
parallel port.  This package is for Byron Jeff's adapted version for Brian
Lane's original software, and supports the Trivial Low Voltage Programmer
(TLVP).

p5-XML-Dumper-0.79; from DESCR:

XML::Dumper dumps Perl data to a structured XML format.
XML::Dumper can also read XML data that was previously dumped
by the module and convert it back to Perl.

This might be useful for dumping Perl objects to files
using an XML format that can be reloaded or accessed by
other programs. Maybe even by other languages.

DejaVu is a family of fonts derived from the Bitstream Vera family.
It provides a wider range of characters than the original. These

cwm is a window manager for X11.  It was originally inspired by evilwm,
but was rewritten from scratch due to limitations in the evilwm codebase.
The from-scratch rewrite borrowed some code from 9wm.  cwm contains many
new features which all concentrate on the efficiency and transparency of
window management.  cwm also aims to maintain the most simplest and
pleasant aesthetic.

Initial import of bcrypt-1.1.

Bcrypt is a cross platform file encryption utility. Encrypted files
are portable across all supported operating systems and processors.
Passphrases must be between 8 and 56 characters and are hashed
internally to a 448 bit key. However, all characters supplied are
significant. The stronger your passphrase, the more secure your data.

In addition to encrypting your data, bcrypt will by default overwrite
the original input file with random garbage three times before deleting
it in order to thwart data recovery attempts by persons who may gain
access to your computer.

Dates are complex enough without times and timezones.  This module may
be used to create simple date objects.  It handles:

Validation:
    Reject 1999-02-29 but accept 2000-02-29.
Interval arithmetic:
    How many days were between two given dates?  What date comes N days
    after today?
Day-of-week calculation:
    What day of the week is a given date?

It does NOT deal with hours, minutes, seconds, and time zones.

Measures the speed of a pipe, by sitting in the middle passing the
data along to the next process.

This benchmark utility is used to determine how the processor,
its caches and coprocessors influence overall system performance.
Its measurements can indicate problems with the processor subsystem

system performance) give us an idea of how well a given system will

The Unix Benchmark Utility "ubench" provides a single mesure of

Vorbisgain calculates a percieved sound level of an Ogg Vorbis file using the
ReplayGain algorithm. VorbisGain then stores in the comments (tags) in the
file a suggestion on how the volume should be changed during playback, to get
a uniform sound level.

The Community Rulesets contain rules submitted by members of the open source
community. While these rules are available as is, the VRT performs basic tests
to ensure that new rules will not break Snort. These rules are distributed
under the GPL and are freely available to all open source Snort users.

This module is a unified framework to craft, send and receive packets at
layers 2, 3, 4 and 7.

Basically, you forge each layer of a frame (Net::Packet::IPv4 for layer 3,
Net::Packet::TCP for layer 4 ; for example), and pack all of this into a
Net::Packet::Frame object. Then, you can send the frame to the network, and
receive it easily, since the response is automatically searched for and
matched against the request.

Net::IPv6Addr provides functions for parsing IPv6 addresses in all
formats described by RFC1884.  If Math::Base85 is installed, formats
described in RFC1924 are also valid.  It will generate "IP6.INT."
strings (as described in RFC1886) if you are inclined to play with
DNS records.

This module handles numbers in base 85, via strings and Math::BigInt.

Net::IPv4Addr provides functions for parsing IPv4 addresses both
in traditional address/netmask format and in the new CIDR format.
There are also methods for calculating the network and broadcast
address and also to see check if a given address is in a specific
network.

This module is yet another class builder. This one adds parameter
checking in new constructor, that is to check for attributes existence,
and definedness.

This is from pkgsrc-wip originally imported by me, but now

Kazehakase is a GTK+2-based web browser with plans to add support
for switching between various rendering engines such as Dillo,
Gecko, GtkHTML, Gtk+ WebCore or w3m. Currently, however, only
supporting Mozilla's Gecko engine.

It provides tabbed windows and RSS support, drag-and-drop of browser
tabs, a bookmark editor, remote and smart bookmarks, mouse gestures,
a search window, find as you type, a cookie and a password manager.

Import gamin-0.1.5 as sysutils/gamin.

Gamin is a file and directory monitoring system defined to be a subset
of the FAM (File Alteration Monitor) system.

The main goals of the project are:

   1. Minimize the security model of FAM -- the daemon runs under the
      user account.
   2. Simplify the code base, dropping some of the most exotic features
      of FAM.
   3. Provide an API and ABI compatible replacement for FAM.
   4. Try to fix some other issues like resource consumption.

REminiscence is a rewrite of the engine used in the game Flashback
from Delphine Software. This program is designed as a cross-platform
replacement for the original executable and uses the SDL library.

PL/Tcl is a dynamic loadable extension for the PostgreSQL database system
that enables the Tcl language to be used to create functions and
trigger-procedures.  It offers most of the capabilities a function
writer has in the C language.

Import databases/postgresql80-plpython-8.0.3.

PL/Python allows you to write functions in the Python programming
language that may be used in SQL queries as if they were built into
Postgres.  The PL/Python intepreter is a full Python interpreter.

PL/Python is currently only available as an "untrusted" language
(meaning it does not offer any way of restricting what users can do
in it).  It has therefore been named "plpythonu".  The trusted variant
plpython may become available again in future, if a new secure execution
mechanism is developed in Python.

PL/Perl allows you to write functions in the Perl programming language
that may be used in SQL queries as if they were built into Postgres.
The PL/Perl intepreter is a full Perl interpreter.  However, certain
operations have been disabled in order to maintain the security of the
system.

LibBT is a C reimplementation of the BitTorrent core protocols.  Our
goal for the project is to develop a low overhead library version of
the protocols so that BitTorrent transfers can easily be built in to
any existing application.

A suplied application called `btget' is a full fledged bittorrent
application based on this library.

Initial import of x11vnc-0.7.2 from pkgsrc-wip, packaged by
<obata at lins dot jp>.

x11vnc allows one to remotely view and interact with real X displays
(i.e. a display corresponding to a physical monitor, keyboard, and
mouse) with any VNC viewer. In this way it plays the role for Unix/X11
that WinVNC plays for Windows.

add luma-2.1.3, a graphical LDAP admin tool consisting of LDAP browser,
schema browser (similar to gq), and plugins eg for user management
or address book entries
still needs some polishing to DTRT in a NetBSD environment, but is
already useful

Added ap2-suphp version 0.6.0.

The suPHP Apache module together with suPHP itself provides an easy way
to run PHP scripts with different users on the same server.

It provides security, because the PHP scripts are not run with the
rights of the webserver's user. In addition to that you probably won't
have to use PHP's "safe mode", which applies many restrictions on the
scripts.
