net/ORBit2/DESCR

   1   ORBit is a CORBA 2.2-compliant Object Request Broker (ORB) featuring
   2 mature C and Perl bindings.  Bindings (in various degrees of completeness)
   3 are also available for C++, Lisp, Pascal, Python, Ruby, and TCL; others
   4 are in-progress.  It supports POA, DII, DSI, TypeCode, Any, IR and IIOP.

   6   Optional features including INS and threading are available.  ORBit is
   7 engineered for the desktop workstation environment, with a focus on
   8 performance, low resource usage, and security.

  10   The core ORB is written in C, and runs under Linux, UNIX (BSD, Solaris,
  11 HP-UX, ...), and Windows.  ORBit is developed and released as open source
  12 software under GPL/LGPL.
