   1 Open Cubic Player first appeared around December 1994 as a DOS
   2 binary-only module player. It supported many soundcards and module
   3 formats.

   5 At some point, the source code was released to the public under the
   6 terms of the GNU General Public License, and around 2003 Stian
   7 Skjelstad ported the code to Linux.

   9 In addition to legacy tracker formats such as mod, xm and s3m, Open
  10 Cubic Player now also supports mp3, ogg and ay files and can be compiled
  11 with libadplug support.
