   1 GnuCap is a general purpose circuit simulator.  GnuCap was
   2 formerly known as ACS.  GnuCap performs nonlinear
   3 dc and transient analyses, fourier analysis, and ac analysis
   4 linearized at an operating point.  It is fully interactive and
   5 command driven.  It can also be run in batch mode or as a server.
   6 The output is produced as it simulates.  Spice compatible models
   7 for the MOSFET (level 1-7) and diode are included in this
   8 release.

  10 Since it is fully interactive, it is possible to make changes and
  11 re-simulate quickly.  The interactive design makes it well suited
  12 to the typical iterative design process used it optimizing a circuit
  13 design.

  15 Unlike Spice, the engine is designed to do true mixed-mode
  16 simulation. Most of the code is in place for future support of
  17 event driven analog simulation, and true multi-rate simulation.
