   1 SASL is a generic mechanism for authentication used by several
   2 network protocols. Authen::SASL provides an implementation
   3 framework that all protocols should be able to share.

   5 The XS framework makes calls into the existing libsasl.so
   6 shared library to perform SASL client connection functionality,
   7 including loading existing shared library mechanisms.

   9 Authen::SASL::Cyrus implements XS SASL Authentication.
