   1 Wcalc is a transmission line analysis and synthesis tool.  Several
   2 structures including air core solenoid inductors, coaxial cable,
   3 single and coupled microstrip, stripline, and metal-insulator-
   4 semiconductor microstrip are included.

   6 Wcalc can analyze the electrical parameters for a given physical
   7 description of the structure or synthesize the required dimensions
   8 to meet certain desired electrical characteristics.

  10 Wcalc provides several different frontends for accessing the numeric
  11 engine.  Currently, there is a GTK based standalone graphical
  12 user interface, a common gateway interface (CGI) for web access,
  13 Scilab, Octave, and Matlab interfaces for maximum flexibility within
  14 a scientific programming environment, and a standard input/output
  15 (stdio) interface which allows a simple interface to other 3rd
  16 party tools which can communicate via a pipe.

  19 flexibility in deployment.
