   1 Atlc is a finite difference programme that is used to calculate the
   2 properties of a two-conductor electrical transmission line of
   3 arbitrary cross section. It is used whenever there are no analytical
   4 formula known, yet you still require an answer. It can calculate:

   6   The impedance Zo (in Ohms)
   7   The capacitance per unit length (pF/m)
   8   The inductance per unit length (nF/m)
   9   The velocity of propagation v (m/s)
  10   The velocity factor, v/c, which is dimensionless.

  12 A bitmap file (usually with the extension .bmp or .BMP) of the cross
  13 section of the transmission line is drawn in a graphics package such
  14 as The Gimp and then analyzed using Atlc.
