   1 This package is a UNIX port of the Amiga XPK library.

   3 The XPK system consists of a master library (libxpkmaster.so) and several
   4 (un)packer sub-libraries (libxpkXXXX.so). Application programs only use the
   5 master library directly: the master library takes care of loading and using
   6 the sub-libraries. Each sub-library implements one type of compression.

   8 There are different libraries for different types of data. When unpacking the
   9 applications do not need to know which library was used to pack the data -
  10 the appropriate library needs to be installed.
