Added new package xdx-1.1: Amateur Radio tcp/ip DX-cluster client

Initial import of dasher, version 3.2.3:

Dasher is an information-efficient text-entry interface, driven by natural
continuous pointing gestures.  Dasher is a competitive text-entry system
wherever a full-size keyboard cannot be used - for example:
- on a palmtop computer
- on a wearable computer
- when operating a computer one-handed, by joystick, touchscreen, trackball,
  or mouse
- when operating a computer with zero hands (i.e., by head-mouse or by
  eyetracker)

Import tcpick from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Jose Diaz Fernandez, and
modified by me.

tcpick is a textmode sniffer that can track TCP streams and saves the
data captured in files or displays them in the terminal.  It is useful
for picking files in a passive way.  It can store all connections in
different files, or it can display all the stream on the terminal
(using colors too).

Import py-pexpect from pkgsrc-wip.

Pexpect makes Python a better glue for controlling child applications.

Pexpect is a pure Python module for spawning child applications;
controlling them; and responding to expected patterns in their
output. Pexpect works like Don Libes' Expect.  Pexpect allows your
script to spawn a child application and control it as if a human were
typing commands.

Pexpect can be used for automating interactive applications such as
ssh, ftp, passwd, telnet, etc.  It can be used to a automate setup
scripts for duplicating software package installations on different
servers.  It can be used for automated software testing.  Pexpect is
in the spirit of Don Libes' Expect, but Pexpect is pure Python.  The
Pexpect interface was designed to be easy to use.

Initial import of xml2doc-20030510 from pkgsrc-wip, author/packager
pancake <pancake at phreaker dot org>.

xml2doc is an xml files processor tool, that allows you to write
documents in a simple XML way and then output then in various
formats (pdf,html,txt,manpage,...). In first term is intended to
be a lightweight version of DocBook, but smaller (20KB against
100MB), faster, easy to learn, and very flexible.

Initial import of jftpgw-0.13.4, packaged by David Ferlier in PR
pkg/24414, with minor changes by me.

jftpgw is an FTP proxy/gateway that uses the FTP protocol (unlike
those FTP proxies that fetch an FTP file but work as an http proxy).
You can use it to make servers behind a firewall/NAT server
(masquerading server) accessible or to allow users behind such
solutions to transfer files to and from the outside of the LAN.

Import libtlen from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Michal Pasternak, and
slightly modified by me.

Libtlen is a client library to access tlen.pl IM/chat system.

Initial import of gnome-devel, version 2.4.2:

GNOME is the GNU Network Object Model Environment.

The GNOME project intends to build a complete, easy-to-use desktop
environment for the user, and a powerful application framework for
the software developer.

This is a meta package for the second major version of the GNOME
project.  It provides all the utilities (not libraries) required
to build and develop software for this environment, specially
those packages downloaded from CVS repositories.

Import p5-XML-LibXSLT from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Adam Migus, and
slightly modified by me.

This module is a fast XSLT library, based on the Gnome libxslt engine
that you can find at http://www.xmlsoft.org/XSLT/.  Performance is
currently about twice that of XML::Sablotron (based on XSLTMark tests
converted to Perl).  The libxslt processor is also highly standards
compliant, with practically all of XSLT 1.0 being supported in version
0.9 of libxslt.  This is free software, you may use it and distribute
it under the same terms as Perl itself.  Copyright 2001 AxKit.com Ltd,

Import p5-Perl-Tidy from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Adam Migus and
slightly modified by me.

Perl-Tidy is a tool to indent and reformat Perl scripts.  It can also
write scripts in HTML format.

Initial import of libtcpa-1.1b, a library and example programs for
the TCPA chip described in IBM Global Security Analysis Lab's
article "Take Control of TCPA" in the August 2003 issue of Linux
Journal.

For this package to be useful, you need a computer with a TCPA
chip, and support for the chip in your kernel. An unofficial NetBSD
TCPA driver and instructions can be found here:

I don't have a TCPA chip with which to verify the functionality of
this package.

The DBI Shell, or dbish, is a command-line tool that allows you to run
arbitrary SQL statements and diagnostics against databases without
needing to write a complete Perl program.

Import p5-Text-Reform from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Eric Schnoebelen
and slightly modified by me.

Text::Reform takes a series of format (or "picture") strings followed
by replacement values, interpolates those values into each picture
string, and returns the result.  The effect is similar to the inbuilt
perl format mechanism, although the field specification syntax is
simpler and some of the formatting behavior is more sophisticated.

Import p5-IO-Tee from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Eric Schnoebelen, and
slightly modified by me.

This class provides a mechanism to mirror a stream to multiple other
streams.  It can either multiplex an output stream to multiple output
streams, or it can multiplex an input stream to multiple output streams
(mirroring all the data read onto the output streams).

Reimport of autoswc, version 1.0, coming from sysutils:

autoswc is an utility that automatically generates system wide cache files
for use with configure scripts created by GNU autoconf, and specially by
those executed within pkgsrc.

Reason for the move: pkgtools' Makefile says this category is for packages
used within pkgsrc.  autoswc is specially designed to work for pkgsrc, so
it is better placed here.  And it may get more exposure ;-)

Biggles is a Python module for creating publication-quality 2D
scientific plots.

It supports multiple output formats (postscript, x11, png, svg, gif),
understands simple TeX, and sports a high-level, elegant interface.
It's intended for technical users with sophisticated plotting needs.

Import py-gdick from pkgsrc-wip.

GDick is a GTK+-2.0 based English-Korean dictionary client.  It can
serve as a simple GTK application as well as a GNOME applet.

Import py-matplotlib from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Michal Pasternak,
and modified by me.

matplotlib is a pure python plotting library designed to bring
publication quality plotting to python with a syntax familiar to
matlab users.  A lot progress towards this goal has been made since
the first release of matplotlib, the library does produce high quality
2D plots.  All of the plotting commands can be accessed either via a
functional interface familiar to matlab users or an object oriented
interface familiar to python users, and several high resolution output
formats are supported.

Move loudmouth from devel to chat, as this is a library to write Jabber
clients.  This is version 0.15.1.  Ok'ed by xtraeme@ (maintainer).

import dcraw, a tool to decode raw image files from various
digital cameras

ed2k-gtk-gui is a graphical frontend (GUI) that allows you to control
an eDonkey2000 command line client (core) running on the local machine
or on a remote host.  It is based on the GTK+ toolkit and the gnet
library.

Import py-OpenSSL from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by mjasm at users dot
sourceforge dot net, cleaned by cjep@, and modified by me.

pyOpenSSL is a Python module that is a rather think wrapper around (a
subset of) the OpenSSL library.  A lot of the object methods do
nothing more than call a corresponding function in the OpenSSL
library.

Import py-TTFQuery from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Michal Pasternak and
slightly modified by me.

Python module using FontTools to query TTF font files for metadata and
font outlines in a cross-platform manner.  Includes support for
scanning for installed system TTF files on common platforms.

Import py-fonttools from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Michal Pasternak and
modified by me.

FontTools is a library for manipulating fonts, written in Python.  It
supports TrueType, OpenType, AFM and to an extent Type 1 and some
Mac-specific formats.

This package also includes TTX: a tool to convert OpenType and TrueType
fonts to and from XML.

Import ipgrab from pkgsrc-wip.

IPgrab is a verbose packet sniffer that displays a great amount of
detail on each packet it reads, including application layer fields.

Initial import of xhtml, version 1.0:

XHTML 1.0 is the W3C's first Recommendation for XHTML, following on from
earlier work on HTML 4.01, HTML 4.0, HTML 3.2 and HTML 2.0.  With a wealth
of features, XHTML 1.0 is a reformulation of HTML 4.01 in XML, and combines
the strength of HTML 4 with the power of XML.

This package provides the three standard DTDs (Strict, Transitional and
Frameset) of XHTML 1.0.

Import aget from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Earl Gay, improved by
Roland Illig to support Solaris, and modified by me.

Aget is a multithreaded HTTP download accelerator.  It aims to imitate
Flashget for Win32.  Aget is an acronym for two Turkish words "Acele
Getir," meaning "Get it fast."

Import imhangul_status_applet from pkgsrc_wip.

GNOME2 applet for imhangul.  It displays the status of imhangul, a
Hangul input module for GTK+-2.

Initial import of Perl module Mail::SPF::Query.

The SPF (Sender Permitted From) protocol relies on sender domains to publish
a DNS whitelist of their designated outbound mailers. Given an envelope
sender, Mail::SPF::Query determines the legitimacy of an SMTP client IP.

Initial import of Net::CIDR::Lite.

Net::CIDR::Lite is a Perl extension for merging IPv4/v6 CIDR addresses.
Faster alternative to Net::CIDR when merging a large number of CIDR address
ranges. Works for IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

Import py-xmms from pkgsrc-wip.

PyXMMS is a Python interface to XMMS, a multimedia player written for
the X Window System.  PyXMMS can be used to control XMMS or manage its
main configuration file from a program written in Python.

Import chkrootkit from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Adrian Portelli and
modified by me.

chkrootkit is a tool to locally check for signs of a rootkit.  It
contains:

 * chkrootkit: a shell script that checks system binaries for
   rootkit modification.
 * ifpromisc.c: checks if the network interface is in promiscuous
   mode.
 * chklastlog.c: checks for lastlog deletions.
 * chkwtmp.c: checks for wtmp deletions.
 * check_wtmpx.c: checks for wtmpx deletions.  (Solaris only)
 * chkproc.c: checks for signs of LKM trojans.
 * chkdirs.c: checks for signs of LKM trojans.
 * strings.c: quick and dirty strings replacement.

This is the Net::IP module, designed to allow easy manipulation of
IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

Import p5-Object-Realize-Later from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Adrian
Portelli and slightly modified by me.

This module helps you implementing delay loading of object-data.  While
creating a stub-object, Object::Realize::Later simulates you got the
real data.

Import p5-MIME-Types from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Adrian Portelli,
and slightly modified by me.

A start for a more detailed data-structure to keep knowledge about
various data types are defined by MIME.  Some basic treatments with
mime types are implemented.

Import p5-User-Identity from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Adrian Portelli
and slightly modified by me.

User::Identity helps maintaining user information from various
sources.  It abstracts the information used about a human begin
(usually configuration information) from its storage.  It tries to be
smart in detecting defaults and such.

Import p5-Scalar-List-Utils from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Koji Kondo
(PR pkg/21672), updated by Adrian Portelli, and slightly modified by
me.

This package contains a selection of subroutines that people have
expressed would be nice to have in the perl core, but the usage would
not really be high enough to warrant the use of a keyword, and the size

Import scew from pkgsrc-wip.  Provided by Thorbjorn Svensson, and
modified by me.

The aim of SCEW (by Aleix Conchillo Flaque) is to provide an easy
interface around the XML Expat parser.  Expat gives an API based on
event handling mechanisms to load XML files.  SCEW incorporates
functions to create XML files and handle XML trees.  That is, add and
delete nodes, change attribute names and values etc.

SCEW provides functions to load and access XML elements without the
need to create the event handling routines and probably the most
important: without the need to rewrite these functions each time you
need to load a different XML document.  It also lets you access the
internal Expat parser; that means you can still have all the
functionality that the Expat library gives you.

socat is a relay for bidirectional data transfer between two
independent data channels.  Each of these data channels may be a file,
pipe, device (serial line etc. or a pseudo terminal), a socket (UNIX,
IP4, IP6 - raw, UDP, TCP), an SSL socket, proxy CONNECT connection, a
file descriptor (stdin etc.), the GNU line editor, a program, or a
combination of two of these.  These modes include generation of
"listening" sockets, pipes and pseudo terminals.

Import gnome-spell-1.0.5 from pkgsrc-wip.  Provided by Brian
A. Seklecki, and modified by me.

A widget written by Ximian for Evolution.  Spell-check-as-you-type
functionality similar to textproc/gtkspell (as featured in chat/gaim,
news/pan, mail/evolution, and misc/openoffice).

Initial import of shared-mime-info, version 0.13:

Many programs and desktops use the MIME system to represent the types of
files.  Frequently, it is necessary to work out the correct MIME type for
a file.  This is generally done by examining the file's name or contents,
and looking up the correct MIME type in a database.

For interoperability, it is useful for different programs to use the same
database so that different programs agree on the type of a file, and new
rules for determining the type apply to all programs.

This package contains the core database of common types and the
update-mime-database command used to extend it.

Initial import of libxklavier, version 0.97:

libxklavier is a library providing high-level API for X Keyboard Extension
known as XKB.  This library is indended to support XFree86 and other
commercial X servers.  It is useful for creating XKB-related software
(layout indicators etc).

The current features are:
* Reading XKB configuration registry information (for XFree86).
* Configuring XKB.
* Application-defined callbacks for many XKB-related events.
* Support for per-window switching etc.

Import atasm-1.04 from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by mor at linex dot com
in PR pkg/22190, and modified by me.

This is a 6502 cross-assembler optimized to code for the Atari 8 bit
computer line.  It is meant to be compatible with the Mac/65 assemlber
on the native Atari 8 bit platform.

Import py-dbxml from pkgsrc-wip.

This module is built using SWIG (http://www.swig.org) to produce a
Python module that maps to the Berkeley DB XML C++ API fairly closely.
At present, separate documentation for the Python API is not provided.
Refer to the C++ API documentation and the Python examples for more
information, or contact Sleepycat Support (support@sleepycat.com).

Import dbxml-1.2.1 from pkgsrc-wip.

Berkeley DB XML is an application-specific native XML data manager
built on Berkeley DB, the world's most widely deployed data management
engine.  Berkeley DB XML provides fast, reliable, scalable and
cost-effective storage and retrieval for native XML data and
semi-structured data.

Berkeley DB XML is supplied as a library that links directly into the
application's address space.  This provides superior performance by
eliminating bottlenecks that occur in client-server systems.

Import xchat-systray-integration-2.4.0 from pkgsrc-wip.

Plugin for IRC client X-Chat which adds an icon in your systray that
flashes when you got highlighted message.  Configurable events and
actions.  Integrates with KDE, GNOME and Xfce4.

Initial import of llnlxftp-2.1, Motif FTP client, submitted by Tor
Stormwall in PR 23914.

LLNL XFTP enables scientists and engineers to easily transfer and
manage their files in an increasingly distributed computing
environment. Based on industry standards, such as the
X Window System and the UNIX operating system, LLNL XFTP can execute
on a wide variety of computing platforms.

Move llnlxdir from x11 to net category.

Initial import of x11/llnlxdir-2.1.2, an advanced graphical FTP client,
submitted by Tor Stormwall in PR 23913.

LLNL XDIR manages files in a heterogeneous network.
It provides a graphical user interface for drag-and-drop
file transfer and for direct manipulation of local and
remote directories. LLNL XDIR has the ability to view
information in four different formats, including
hierarchical and iconic views. Based on UNIX, the C
programming language, OSF/Motif, and the file transfer
protocol FTP, LLNL XDIR is highly portable.

Import libpathan-1.2.2 from pkgsrc-wip.

The Pathan project grew out of DecisionSoft's work on XMLScript, an
XML transformation language.

XPath was adopted as a node selection language by XMLScript when the
XPath specification was ratified by the W3C.  DecisionSoft's XMLScript
processor is based on Xerces-C, a Document Object Model compliant XML
parser. Pathan therefore was designed from the base up to be fully
compatible with the Xerces parser.

Pathan 1 represents the open sourcing of the XPath component of
DecisionSoft's XMLScript processor.  Pathan 1 features a full
implementation of the XPath 1.0 Specification.  Pathan 1 implements
the W3C DOM Level 3 XPath Specification (Working Draft February 08
2002) providing a powerful and coherent interface between XPath and
DOM and hence a standardised interface with Xerces.

Initial import of gnuls, version 5.0:

This package provides the GNU ls utility, from the GNU coreutils package.
It also includes the dircolors program, which is intended to be used together
with it.

This replaces the extremely outdated (and maybe broken) linuxls package.

Import new package for genecys-client.  Genecys is a 3D third-person
online RPG.  This is the client for the game.  The game is currently in
alpha release status.

Import new pkg for genecys data files. These are the datafiles required
to run the genecys client or server.

Python bindings for GNUTLS.

GnuTLS is a project that aims to develop a library which provides a
secure layer, over a reliable transport layer.  Currently the GnuTLS
library implements the proposed standards by the IETF's TLS working
group.

for the cal3d 3d skeletal animation library.

Imhangul is a Hangul input module for GTK+ 2. This supports Korean
Hangul input with several types of keyboards widely used in Korea.

Mozilla Firebird has been renamed to Firefox, and this package
obsoletes MozillaFirebird-gtk2-bin.

This is (right now) a Linux binary package.

Mozilla Firebird has been renamed to Firefox, and this package will
obsolete MozillaFirebird when Solaris and NetBSD builds become
available.

Initial import of TagLib 1.0.

TagLib is a library for reading and editing the meta-data of several popular
audio formats. Currently it supports both ID3v1 and ID3v2 for MP3 files, Ogg
Vorbis comments and ID3 tags and Vorbis comments in FLAC files.

Initial import of trm, a utility for creating accoustic signatures for use
with musicbrainz.

Import py-cjkcodecs-1.0.3 from pkgsrc-wip.

The cjkcodecs is a unified unicode codec for Chinese, Japanese, and
Korean encodings.  It supports full features of unicode codec
specification and PEP293 error callbacks on Python 2.3.

Initial import of JMdict.

JMdict is a Japanese-Multilingual dictionary.
It is an enhanced XML-based multilingual version
of EDICT, currently containing English, French,
and German translations, frequency counts, and
other useful information.

Initial import of kanjidic2.

The KANJIDIC2 file contains comprehensive information about Japanese
kanji in XML format.
The KANJIDIC2 file has the 6,355 kanji from JIS X 0208, the
5,801 kanji from JIS X 0212 and the 3,625 janji from JIS X 0213.

Initial import of nautilus-media, version 0.3.3.1:

nautilus-media provides several multimedia related add-ons for the Nautilus
file manager.  It contains an audio view, a video view, a thumbnailer and
some property pages.  It uses gstreamer as the backend for media playback.

Initial import of jpeginfo, version 1.6.0 into the NetBSD Packages
Collection.

Jpeginfo is a utility to generate informative listings from JPEG files, and to
check JPEG files for errors.  Program also supports automagic deletion of
broken JPEGs.  Currently developed using Linux & SGI, but should compile on
any decent UNIX :)

Initial import of jpegoptim, version 1.2.2 into the NetBSD Packages
Collection.  Provided by fab (AT) gnux (DOT) info in PR 24268,
slightly modified and pkglinted by me.

Utility to optimize JPEG files.  Provides lossless optimization
(based on optimizing the Huffman tables) and "lossy" optimization
based on setting maximum quality factor.

Initial import of mini_httpd-1.19. This was packaged by
Bruce J.A. Nourish for pkgsrc-wip.

mini_httpd is a small HTTP server.  Its performance is not great, but for
low or medium traffic sites it's quite adequate. It implements all the
basic features of an HTTP server, including:

  * GET, HEAD, and POST methods.
  * CGI.
  * Basic authentication.
  * Security against ".." filename snooping.
  * The common MIME types.
  * Trailing-slash redirection.
  * index.html, index.htm, index.cgi
  * Directory listings.
  * Multihoming / virtual hosting.
  * Standard logging.
  * Custom error pages.

It can also be configured to do SSL/HTTPS and IPv6.

An Open Source implementation of the GDI+ API. Spun off from Mono's C#
library.
libgdiplus is needed for using the System.Drawing APIs.

initial import of cairo-0.1.17

Cairo is a vector graphics library with cross-device output support. Currently
supported output targets include the X Window System and in-memory image
buffers. PostScript and PDF file output is planned. Cairo is designed to
produce identical output on all output media while taking advantage of display
hardware acceleration when available (eg. through the X Render Extension).

Cairo provides a stateful user-level API with capabilities similar to the PDF
1.4 imaging model. Cairo provides operations including stroking and filling
Bezier cubic splines, transforming and compositing translucent images, and
antialiased text rendering.

PixRegion is a set of Y-X banded rectangles that cover the desired
region.

libic - Image compositing library

libic is a generic image compositing library. libic provides
Porter/Duff compositing of images and implicit mask generation for
geometric primitives including trapezoids, triangles, and rectangles.
