which PostgreSQL is not ported. How nifty!

The Cache modules are designed to assist a developer in persisting
data for a specified period of time. Often these modules are used
in web applications to store data locally to save repeated and
redundant expensive calls to remote machines or databases.

The Cache interface is implemented by derived classes that store
cached data in different manners (such as as files on a filesystem,
or in memory).

To use the Cache system, a cache implementation must be chosen to
suit your needs. The most common is Cache::File, which is suitable
for sharing data between multiple invocations and even between
concurrent processes.

Import p5-File-NFSLock-1.20 into pkgsrc:

File::NFSLock - perl module to do NFS (or not) locking

Program based of concept of hard linking of files being atomic
across NFS. This concept was mentioned in Mail::Box::Locker (which
was originally presented in Mail::Folder::Maildir). Some routine
flow is taken from there -- particularly the idea of creating a
random local file, hard linking a common file to the local file,
and then checking the nlink status. Some ideologies were not complete
(uncache mechanism, shared locking) and some coding was even
incorrect (wrong stat index). File::NFSLock was written to be light,
generic, and fast.

PyKaraoke is a free karaoke player for Linux, FreeBSD, Windows and
GP2X.

You can use this program to play your collection of CDG, MIDI and
MPEG karaoke songs. No songs are provided, you must obtain these
from elsewhere.

In short, CDG is the format of professional karaoke CDs. These CDs
can be ripped to your hard disk, and turned into a .mp3 file together
with a .cdg file. This player gives you the ability to play those
mp3+cdg files.  PyKaraoke Features:

Net::MySQL is a Pure Perl client interface for the MySQL database.
This module implements network protocol between server and client
of MySQL, thus you don't need external MySQL client library like
libmysqlclient for this module to work. It means this module enables
you to connect to MySQL server from some operation systems which
MySQL is not ported.
How nifty!

Since this module's final goal is to completely replace DBD::mysql,
API is made similar to that of DBI.

the University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) Muenster, Germany.

X-Video Motion Compensation (XvMC) provides accelerated video
playback by offloading video decoding to hardware.  It is an
extension of the X video extension for the X Window System.

This module allows users to communicate with eBay using perl and
their XML based eBay API. You can use it to list items for sale,
bid, get seller item list, search, get ebay time, or do anything
else.

Many details of this API can be found at http://developer.ebay.com.
To be able to use this module, you need to register there and obtain
keys and a authentication token using "tokentool".

The job of its module is to encapsulate connectivity and authentication,
and communication with ebay. First, you need to initialize your
ebay connection by passing it credentials. After that, you can send
queries to eBay. A typical request is comprised of its name, and
a hash table of application parameters.

Import the PostgreSQL 8.2 JDBC3 driver into pkgsrc as jdbc-postgresql82-504

This is a pure Java (Type IV) JDBC driver for the PostgreSQL
database.  It allows Java programs to connect to a PostgreSQL
database using standard, database independent Java code.

The driver provides a reasonably complete implementation of the
JDBC 3 specification in addition to some PostgreSQL specific
extensions.

Import fetchyahoo version 2.10.6.
Based on PR 33091, made pkglint clean and update.

FetchYahoo is a Perl script that downloads mail from a Yahoo! account
to a local mail spool. It is meant to replace fetchmail for people
using Yahoo! mail since Yahoo!'s POP service no longer free. It
downloads messages to a local mail spool, including all parts and
attachments. It then deletes messages unless requested not to. It can
also optionally forward messages to a specified e-mail address and
repeat with a given interval.

EuroBSDcon 2006 in Milano who asked if I was aware of it (I wasn't).

ATA over Ethernet (AoE) delivers a simple, high performance, low cost
alternative to iSCSI and FibreChannel for networked block storage by
eliminating the processing overhead of TCP/IP.

+ ATA-over-Ethernet (AoE) is a thin protocol layer directly on top of
Ethernet.

+ ATA disk commands (ie.  read disk sector x, write disk sector y) are
put directly into standard Ethernet frames using the AoE protocol.
AoE is a block storage protocol.

+ AoE is a non-routed protocol, therefore does not require IP or TCP
protocol layers.  This eliminates unnecessary processing and makes
network connection to disks simple. It also limits AoE to the local
network segment.

I fixed some pkglint warnings.

Wiki is a concept, more than a thing.  It is a way of creating
document pages using plain text markup and simplified hyperlinking.
By typing a name in MixedCase, a hyperlink is automatically created to
the document "MixedCase".  Pressing return on that name will create
the file if it doesn't exist, or visit it if it does.  The markup used
by emacs-wiki is intended to be very friendly to people familiar with
Emacs.  Type C-h v emacs-wiki-publishing-markup after this mode is
loaded for how to get started.

Import dictem version 0.81 from pkgsrc-wip, packaged by Aleksey Cheusov.
This is newer version than PR 33203.

DictEm is a customizable DICT client for (X)Emacs. It implements all
functions of the client part of the DICT protocol (RFC-2229). Unlike
dictionary.el, it widely uses autocompletion that is used for
selecting a dictionary and search strategy. It also provides several
hooks that may be used for buffer postprocessing. Built-in
hyperlinking and a highlighting mechanisms are based on this
ability. Also, DictEm supports the mechanism of virtual dictionaries
that can be used for grouping dictionaries from _different_ DICT
servers into the client-side virtual dictionary.

pam_af is a simple anti-bruteforce PAM module for authentification
services. It can be used to prevent brute-force attacks on services
like SSH or Telnet.

Initial import of gamazons-0.83:

Amazons is a game played on a 10x10 chess board. Each side has four
pieces (amazons) that move like chess queens (in a straight line
in any direction). Instead of capturing pieces like in chess, the
game is determined based on who moves last.

Each move consists of two parts. First an amazon moves to a new
square and then fires an arrow to another square (the arrow is
fired in a straight line in any direction from the square the amazon
landed on). The square the arrow lands on becomes a permenant block
for the rest of the game. No one can move over it, or fire an arrow
over it. Every turn an amazon must move and fire an arrow, so every
turn there is one less square available on the board. Try and block
in your opponent or section off a good chunk of the board for
yourself.

IPA_SDB -- IPA simple database module

Main features:

- Distribution consists of database ipa_db_sdb(8) and statistics

- Formats of database files are machine architecture independent;

PyX is a Python package for the creation of PostScript and PDF files. It
combines an abstraction of the PostScript drawing model with a TeX/LaTeX
interface. Complex tasks like 2d and 3d plots in publication-ready quality
are built out of these primitives.

Net::Write provides a portable interface to open a network interface, and be
able to write raw data directly to the network. It juste provides three methods
when a Net::Write object has been created for an interface: open, send, close.

It is possible to open a network interface to send frames at layer 2 (you craft
a frame from link layer), or at layer 3 (you craft a frame from network layer),
or at layer 4 (you craft a frame from transport layer).

NOTE: not all operating systems support all layer opening. Currently, Windows
only supports opening and sending at layer 2. Other Unix systems should be able
to open and send at all layers.

This module is yet another class builder. This one adds parameter checking
in new constructor, that is to check for attributes existence, and definedness.

Net::Libdnet - Perl interface to libdnet

This is an optional package, the Courier log analyzer. Courier-analog generates
log summaries for incoming and outgoing SMTP connections, and IMAP and POP3
activity. courier-analog can generate output in text or HTML format.

Initial import of Mark Henderson's multi-precision maths (hello mid-Atlantic
divide) fgmp-1.0b5 routines into the Packages Collection:

FGMP is Mark Henderson's public domain implementation of a subset of
the GNU gmp library with the same API.  The fgmp library also includes
a couple of extra routines.

With a delay of 30s it has done me a world of good.

Import xev.

Xev is an X11 debugging tool. Xev creates a window (or can attach
to an existing window) and then asks the X server to send it events
whenever anything happens to the window (such as it being moved,
resized, typed in, clicked in, etc cetera).

This is the version of xev maintained by Xorg.
