   4 An ``X-'' prefixed before a distribution set means that the XFree86
   5 base distribution, libraries, manual pages, SVGA server and a set
   6 of default fonts will be selected in addition to the set itself.
   7 If you select such a set, you will also be presented with a set of
   8 menus for customizing the selections to your desired X Window System
   9 setup.

  11 Any distribution may be further customized by selecting the `Custom'
  12 item before leaving the menu.

  14 N.B. All references in this document to `complete source' mean the
  15 complete source tree minus any legally encumbered cryptography code.

  17 The current "canned" installations are provided:

  19 Developer:      Base ("bin") distribution, man pages, dictionary
  20                 files, profiling libraries and the complete source tree.

  22 Kern-Developer: As above, but with only kernel sources instead of
  23                 the complete source tree.

  25 User:           The base distribution, man pages, dictionary files and
  26                 the FreeBSD 1.x, 2.0, 2.1.x, 2.2.x and 3.x compatibility sets.

  28 Minimal:        Only the base distribution.

  30 Everything:     The base distribution, man pages, dictionary files,
  31                 profiling libraries, the FreeBSD compatibility libraries,
  32                 the complete source tree, games and your choice of XFree86
  33                 distribution components.

  35                 Note that the cryptography source code is NOT included
  36                 in this collection.  You will need to select that by
  37                 hand if you're inside the United States.

  39 Custom:         Allows you to create or modify your distribution set on
  40                 a piece-by-piece basis.
