   1 MPEG TS/PS/ES Transport, Program and Elementary Stream tools

   3 This is a set of cross-platform command line tools for working with
   4 MPEG data.  The emphasis is on relatively simple tools which
   5 concentrate on MPEG (H.264 and H.262) data packaged according to
   6 H.222 (i.e., TS or PS), with a particular interest in checking for
   7 conformance.  Transport Stream (TS) is typically used for distribution
   8 of cable and satellite data. Program Stream (PS) is typically used
   9 to store data on DVDs.

  13     * Quick reporting of useful data (tsinfo, stream_type)
  14     * Giving a quick overview of the entities in the stream
  15       (esdots, psdots)
  16     * Reporting on TS packets (tsreport) or ES units/frames/
  17       fields (esreport)
  18     * Simple manipulation of stream data (es2ts, esfilter,
  19       esreverse, esmerge, ts2es)
  20     * Streaming of data, possibly with introduced errors
