   1 Erlang is a programming language used to build massively scalable soft
   2 real-time systems with requirements on high availability. Some of its
   3 uses are in telecoms, banking, e-commerce, computer telephony and
   4 instant messaging. Erlang's runtime system has built-in support for
   5 concurrency, distribution and fault tolerance.

   7 This port contains a standalone runtime environment of Erlang R17
   8 to be used during the development of OTP applications.
