   1 pydicom is a pure python package for working with DICOM files. It was
   2 made for inspecting and modifying DICOM files in an easy "pythonic"
   3 way. The modifications can be written again to a new file. As a pure
   4 python package, it should run anywhere python runs without any other
   5 requirements.
