   1 This package includes two programs for adjusting sound mixers:  xmixer, which
   2 uses the Athena toolkit, and xgmixer, based on GTK+.  From the README:

   4     Features:
   5      * For every device which is supported by the sound card you can
   6        change the volume via a slider. Unsupported devices are not shown.
   7      * Select the input device(s) for recording.
   8      * On startup a configuration file is read which restores device
   9        settings.
  10      * With a menu option you can save the current settings for the next
  11        start up.
  12      * Hide devices which you don't want to see.
  13      * Batch support - just read and evaluate the settings in the
  14        configuration file.
