audio/snd/pkg-descr

   1 Snd is a sound editor modeled loosely after Emacs and an old, sorely-missed
   2 PDP-10 sound editor named Dpysnd.  It can accommodate any number of sounds,
   3 each with any number of channels, and can be customized and extended using
   4 Guile, Ruby or Forth.

   6 Included with it are some command-line utilities:
   7 - snd-info (note:  renamed from sndinfo, for this FreeBSD port) prints a
   8   description of a sound file.
   9 - sndplay plays a sound file.
  10 - sndrecord records sound from a microphone.
  11 - audinfo describes the current state of the audio hardware.
