  40 module implements an authenticator plugin that is intended
  41 for use with user-mode authentication implementations such
  42 as
  43 .Nm hostapd .
  44 It hooks into the 802.11 layer and does nothing.
  45 As a result, 802.11 stations that associate are not authorized to
  46 send or receive frames until they are authorized by an external agent;
  47 typically using a protocol such as WPA, 802.1x, or 802.11i.
  48 The

  50 module is an 802.11 authenticator plugin module for use by the
  51 .Xr wlan 4
  52 module.
  53 This module is automatically loaded if an application configures
  54 an 802.11 device for operation as an AP with WPA or 802.1x authentication.
