.Sh DESCRIPTION
The
.Fn closefrom
system call deletes all descriptors numbered
.Fa fd
and higher from the per-process file descriptor table.
It is effectively the same as calling
.Xr close 2
on each descriptor.
.Sh IMPLEMENTATION NOTES
The behaviour of the
.Nm
system call in
.Dx
is similar to that of
.Tn SunOS
except for error returned in the case of an abort.
.Sh RETURN VALUES
The value of 0 is returned in all cases, or
.Er EINTR
when an interrupt or abort is received.
