   1 Plone is a user friendly implementation of the Content Management Framework
   2 written on top of ZOPE.  Plone is a GUI/Interface/Implementation of the
   3 CMF.  It benefits from all features of ZOPE/CMF such as: RDBMS integration,
   4 Python/Perl extensions, Object Oriented Database, Web configurable workflow,
   5 pluggable membership and authentication, Undos, Form validation, amongst
   6 many many other features.  Available protocols: FTP, XMLRPC, HTTP, WEBDAV
   7 and you can hack it to enable SOAP.  Turn it into a distributed application
   8 system by installing ZEO.

  10 Plone attempts to compete with Livelink, Interwoven and Documentum.  It
  11 aims to be *the* opensource out-of-the-box publishing system.
