   1 What Is XView

   3 XView (X Window-System-based Visual/Integrated Environment for Workstations)
   4 is a user-interface toolkit to support interactive, graphics-based
   5 applications running under the X Window System.  XView provides a set of
   6 pre-built, user-interface objects such as canvases, scrollbars, menus, and
   7 control panels.  The appearance and functionality of these objects follow
   8 the OPEN LOOK Graphical User Interface (GUI) specification.  XView features
   9 an object-oriented style Application Programmer's Interface (API) that is
  10 straightforward and easy to learn.

  12 This package contains all the configurations files needed for use of
  13 the XView libraries and applications.

  17 This version of the XView source corresponds to that provided with
  18 OpenWindows Version 3.2 from SunSoft Inc.  Libraries generated with this
  19 source should be interchangeable with those from the OpenWindows Version 3.2
  20 release.
