XFS combines advanced journaling technology with full 64-bit
addressing and scalable structures and algorithms.

+ Journaled 64-bit filesystem with guaranteed filesystem consistency.

+ XFS supports filesystem growth for mounted volumes, allows
filesystem "freeze" and "thaw" operations to support volume level
snapshots, and provides an online file defragmentation utility.

+ XFS supports user and group quotas.  XFS considers quota information
as filesystem metadata and uses journaling to avoid the need for
lengthy quota consistency checks after a crash.

+ For Linux 2.6 and beyond, when using 64 bit addressing in the block
devices layer (CONFIG_LBD) and a 64 bit platform, filesystem size
limit increases to 9 million terabytes (or the device limits).  For
these later kernels on 32 bit platforms, 16TB is the current limit
even with 64 bit addressing enabled in the block layer.

This package contains filesystem manipulation and support programs.

Very loosely based on the FreeBSD port (I took the MASTER_SITES from there).

JavE is a free ASCII Editor. Rather than for editing texts, it is intended
for drawing simple diagrams by using ASCII characters. It is like a graphics
editor for editing texts instead of images.

Import gchore-1.0.

Gchore is a simple tool that tracks your chores, and reminds you to do them
on a daily basis. It is not a general todo list, it is better suited for
repeating tasks, such as taking out the garbage on mondays.

Initial import of nsis, version 2.12, into the NetBSD Packages Collection.

NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) is a professional open-source tool
for the development of Windows installers.  It is designed to be as small and
flexible as possible and is therefore highly suitable for Internet
distribution.

An installer is not only the first experience of a user has with your product,
many software problems can also be solved by providing reliable installation
tools.  NSIS allows you to create stable, quick and user friendly installers
that are capable of installing, uninstalling, setting system settings,
extracting files and more.  With the NSIS scripting language you can implement
any custom logic you want.

The large collection of plug-ins, scripts and software in the Developer Center
helps you to build full featured installers and provides a solution for almost
every scenario.

Initial import of scons-devel, version 0.96.91, into the NetBSD Packages
Collection.  The 0.96.9x releases will eventually become scons 0.97, but
the stable release is still 0.96.1 available in devel/scons.  However, some
pacakges might need the newer capabilities.

SCons is an Open Source software construction tool--that is, a build tool;
an improved substitute for the classic Make utility; a better way to build
software.

Import net/aiccu, ok'ed by wiz.

AICCU (Automatic IPv6 Connectivity Client Utility) makes it easy for users to
get IPv6 connectivity via SixXs. After having requested an account, tunnel and
optionally a subnet, AICCU can be used to automatically configure the tunnel.
AICCU supports TIC (Tunnel Information & Control protocol), which it uses for
retrieving the tunnel configuration information, AYIYA, which allows tunnels to
be created even behind firewalls and NATs.

Import cripple from pkgsrc-wip.

Cripple is a simple command line CD ripper wrapper.  It uses audio/cdparanoia,
misc/libcdio or sysutils/cdrecord to rip, and audio/lame or audio/bladeenc to
encode tracks from a CD.

Cripple retrieves naming information for filenames and ID3 tags from the freedb
(CDDB) or local xmcd/CDDB format files, which it can write.  CDDB access is
implemented via HTTP and works through proxies.  There is built-in support for
writing ID3v1.1 tags to output files.

Import ez-ipupdate from pkgsrc-wip.  Ok by wiz.

ez-ipupdate is a small utility for updating your host name for the any
of the dynamic DNS service offered at:

Netcat6 is a total rewrite of netcat, with several advantages:

 * It fully supports IPv6.
 * It is far more efficient, utilizing flexible buffering and minimal (or
   no) data copying or analysis.
 * The source is well structured, documented and very easy to follow. One of
   the main objectives of netcat6 is to produce an excellent example of AF
   independent networking and efficient data transfer. The code has minimal
   dependency on the address family or protocol type and can be trivially
   extended to talk many layer 3 protocols.
 * Greatly improved configuration and platform independence.
 * Can support servers or clients that use TCP half-close.

Some features of the original netcat are not present in netcat6, either because
they haven't yet been implemented or because there exists better tools for the
job. See the TODO file included in the netcat6 package for more information.

Import lincvs from pkgsrc-wip.  Ok by wiz.

LinCVS is a graphical Interface for the cvs client commandline tool on the
Unix, Windows and Mac OS X platform. It allows to load modules from a
server (checkout), create modules on the server (import), as well as
checking the state of directories and individual files or updating them.
Basic operations like add, remove and commit are supported as matter of
course, just like showing the actual differences between the server version
and the local sandbox, graphical display of the version tree, and manifoldy
graphical support of project maintenance. All actions are logged on the cvs
server (configurable via history), and are therewith comprehensible.

Initial import of p5-Mail-Ezmlm-0.05.1, a Perl5 module providing
object methods to manipulate ezmlm mailing lists.

Initial import of GNU Solfege 3.0.5, a computer program written to
help you practice ear training. It can be useful when practicing
the simple and mechanical exercises. These are the exercises written
so far:

Initial import of CSP, version 0.32, into the NetBSD Packages Collection.  If
you think you might have read the openssl man pages one time too much for
your own sanity, you might like this package.

Certificate Service Provider is a perl wrapper around openssl that allows you
to run multiple simple certificate authorities (CAs).  CSP is designed to be
simple (almost to a fault) and is ideally suited to small PKIs (< 1000
entities) where security is paramount.  CSP is meant to be run on isolated,
offline computers while still allowing CRLs and certificate repositories to be
easily published.

The package includes a patch that lets the program run out-of-the-box,
without setting up CSPHOME and OPENSSL in the environment.  Defining them
is of course still permitted.

Initial import of p5-Term-Prompt, version 1.03, into the NetBSD Packages
Collection.  I had that one sitting here for a few months...  I don't even
remember writing it, so maybe proper credit is lacking.  In such case tell
me so.

The Term-Prompt module can be used to accept interactive input.  You specify
the type of inputs allowed, a prompt, help text and defaults and it will deal
with the user interface, (and the user!), by displaying the prompt, showing the
default, and checking to be sure that the response is one of the legal choices.
Additional "types" that could be added would be a phone type, a social security
type, a generic numeric pattern type...

The DTS Coherent Acoustics standard is used in a variety of applications,

TiffIO is a plugin that add TIFF images read/write capabilities to the
Qt3 and Qt4 QImage class.  Adding the generated plugin in the Qt's
tree enable any Qt application to manipulate TIFF images. TiffIO come
with a self-test suite, and have been compiled and used successfully
on a variety of windows and unixes platforms.

Initial import of newspipe, an RSS/Atom aggregator with a difference:
it allows you to keep track of your feeds through email. You create
an OPML file listing your feeds and Newspipe will collect them,
convert them to e-mail messages and send them to your mailbox.

This means you can read, organize and archive news feeds using your
current mail client (or even webmail), without needing to use a
separate program. Newspipe can send you news items as plaintext or
HTML mail, both as single items or grouped in a digest.

Initial import of html2text, a Python script that convers a page
of HTML into clean, easy-to-read plain ASCII text. Better yet, that
ASCII also happens to be valid Markdown (a text-to-HTML format).

Import p5-Text-Emoticon-MSN from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Roman Kulik.

Text::Emoticon::MSN is a text filter that replaces text emoticons
like ``:-)'', ``;-P'', etc. to the icons of MSN Messenger, detailed in
http://messenger.msn.com/Resource/Emoticons.aspx

TeX2page makes Web pages from TeX manuscripts. It reads an input
document that is marked up in a TeX format (viz., plain TeX, LaTeX,
Texinfo), and produces an output document with the functionally
equivalent HTML markup. TeX2page uses the same input file syntax,
calling conventions, and error-recovery mechanisms as TeX, and thus
demands no additional expertise of a user already familiar with
TeX. TeX2page runs on modern Schemes and Common Lisp.

c-ares is a C library that performs DNS requests and name resolves
asynchronously.

c-ares is a fork of the library named 'ares', written by Greg Hudson at MIT.
The fork was made on ares 1.1.1.

CLEX (pronounced KLEKS) is a file manager with a full-screen user
interface.  It displays directory contents including the file status
details and provides features like command history, filename
insertion, or name completion in order to help users to create
commands to be executed by the shell.

CLEX is a versatile tool for system administrators and all users that
utilize the enormous power of the command line.  Its unique one-panel
user interface enhances productivity and lessens the probability of
mistake.  There are no built-in commands, CLEX is an add-on to your
favorite shell.

Import detox from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Bartosz Kuzma.

Detox is a utility designed to clean up filenames.  It replaces
difficult to work with characters, such as spaces, with standard
equivalents.  It will also clean up filenames with UTF-8 or Latin-1
(or CP-1252) characters in them.

Import tex-dhucs.

DHUcs is a TeX macro package to typeset Hangul documents using
LaTeX-ucs.  With this package, LaTeX can process UTF-8 Korean
documents.

Import tex-unttf.

Un fonts are GPL'd Korean fonts.  This package provides the texmf tree
required to use TrueType Un fonts in LaTeX.

UnrealIRCd is an IRC server based on the branch of IRCu called Dreamforge,
formerly used by the DALnet IRC Network. Since development started on it
(around May 1999) many new features has been added, modified, and many bugs
fixed. Unreal runs both on *nix platforms, Amiga & Windows 95/98/2k/NT.
Some features to mention: Channel Halfops, No-color channel mode,
Strip-colors channel mode, channelmode +q & +a - protect modes, Oper and
Admin only channels, exception bans, Nokicks mode (channel and user), Flood
limiter, Channel links, Host cloaking, Net* Tech and Co-Admin modes, Whois
notifies, Foreign connects monitor, Oper suspend, G:Lines, T:Lines, channel
restriction (people can only go to these channels if enabled), Trojan/DCC
Deny, RPING/RPONG, Sethost family, Token in server<->server etc.
FDlists/High Traffic Mode, SOCKS check on connect, Speeded up server
synchs, limited WebTV Client support, /vhost, and many dreamforge
optimations. UnrealIRCd is aimed to be an advanced, not an easy IRCd.

Also includes SSL and IPv6 support.

TRE is a lightweight, robust, and efficient POSIX compliant regexp matching
library with some exciting features such as approximate (fuzzy) matching.

At the core of TRE is a new algorithm for regular expression matching with
submatch addressing. The algorithm uses linear worst-case time in the length
of the text being searched, and quadratic worst-case time in the length of
the used regular expression. In other words, the time complexity of the
algorithm is O(M2N), where M is the length of the regular expression and N
is the length of the text. The used space is also quadratic on the length
of the regex, but does not depend on the searched string. This quadratic
behaviour occurs only on pathological cases which are probably very rare
in practice.

Initial import of convmv-1.08.

Convmv is meant to help convert a single filename, a directory tree and
the contained files or a whole filesystem into a different encoding. It
just converts the filenames, not the content of the files. A special
feature of convmv is that it also converts the symlink target pointer in
case the symlink target is being converted, too.

GTick is a metronome application written for GNU/Linux and other
UN*X-like operting systems supporting different meters (Even, 2/4,
3/4, 4/4 and more) and speeds ranging from 10 to 1000 bpm.

Initial import of p5-DBIx-Abstract:

This module provides methods for retrieving and storing data in
SQL databases.  It provides methods for all of the more important
SQL commands (like SELECT, INSERT, REPLACE, UPDATE, DELETE).

It endeavors to produce an interface that will be intuitive to
those already familiar with SQL.

Notable features include:

  * data_source generation for some DBD drivers.
  * Can check to make sure the connection is not stale and reconnect
    if it is.
  * Controls statement handles for you.
  * Can delay writes.
  * Generates complex where clauses from hashes and arrays.
  * Shortcuts (convenience functions) for some common cases. (Like
    select_all_to_hashref.)

This module helps abstract the process of working with complex
schemas of relational SQL database tables. As with DBI, it lets
you work with data a row at a time, but gives you the extra ability
to, with a single method call, reach across and grab rows of related
data from tables located elsewhere in your database, without having

long as they are related in some way -- i.e., could both return

"Params::Util" provides a basic set of importable functions that
makes checking parameters a hell of a lot easier.

The functions provided by "Params::Util" check in the most strictly
correct manner, and in should not be fooled by odd cases.

Initial import of p5-Test-Deep:

Test::Deep gives you very flexible ways to check that the result
you got is the result you were expecting. At its simplest it compares
two structures by going through each level, ensuring that the values
match, that arrays and hashes have the same elements and that
references are blessed into the correct class. It also handles
circular data structures without getting caught in an infinite
loop.

Where it becomes more interesting is in allowing you to do something
besides simple exact comparisons. With strings, the = operator
checks that 2 strings are exactly equal but sometimes that's not
what you want. When you don't know exactly what the string should
be but you do know some things about how it should look, = is no
good and you must use pattern matching instead. Test::Deep provides
pattern matching for complex data structures.

Initial import of p5-Test-NoWarnings:

In general, your tests shouldn't produce warnings. This modules
causes any warnings to be captured and stored. It automatically
adds an extra test that will run when your script ends to check
that there were no warnings. If there were any warnings, the test
will give a "not ok" and diagnostics of where, when, and what the
warning was, including a stack trace of what was going on when it
occurred.

If some of your tests are supposed to produce warnings then you
should be capturing and checking them with Test::Warn, that way
Test::NoWarnings will not see them and so not complain.

If you have written a test module based on Test::Builder then
Test::Tester allows you to test it with the minimum of effort.

Import p5-Sort-Versions-1.5:

Sort::Versions allows easy sorting of mixed non-numeric and numeric strings,
like the "version numbers" that many shared library systems and revision
control packages use.  This is quite useful if you are trying to deal with
shared libraries. It can also be applied to applications that intersperse
variable-width numeric fields within text.  Other applications can
undoubtedly be found.

libmpd is trying to provide a easy to use high level, callback
based access to mpd. It tries to be fast and keep the data transfer
with mpd to the minimum. To do this it implements queues for deleting
and adding songs. There is extra functionallity added for the ease
of the programmer.

Import synergy, packaged by Kibum Han.

With synergy, all the computers on your desktop form a single virtual
screen.  You use the mouse and keyboard of only one of the computers
while you use all of the monitors on all of the computers.  You tell
synergy how many screens you have and their positions relative to one
another.  Synergy then detects when the mouse moves off the edge of a
screen and jumps it instantly to the neighboring screen.  The keyboard
works normally on each screen; input goes to whichever screen has the
cursor.

F4L is an open source development environment for Macromedia Flash,
a multi-platform format (swf/svg) widely used for web applications and
vector animation. Basically, you can make interactive eye candy for
your web site or any other purposes.

vmips is a virtual machine simulator based around a MIPS R3000 RISC CPU
core.

Imported tcd from pkgsrc-wip.

Tcd is a tiny audio CD player using ncurses. It can play CDs and manage
a little CD database in cddb format.

Imported p5-Pod-Tree from pkgsrc-wip.

Pod::Tree parses a POD ("plain old documentation") text into a static
syntax tree. Applications walk the tree to recover the structure and
content of the POD.

Imported p5-HTML-Stream from pkgsrc-wip.

This module provides you with an object-oriented (and subclassable) way
of outputting HTML.  Basically, you open up an "HTML stream" on an
existing filehandle, and then do all of your output to the HTML stream
(you can intermix HTML-stream-output and ordinary-print-output, if you
like).

Import hugeotp2ocp.

hugeotp2ocp is a utility that converts OTP files to OCP files used by
Omega.  This program can process OTP files requiring more memory than
regular otp2ocp in teTeX can handle.

Import nstx from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by pancake.

NSTX (the Nameserver Transfer Protocol) makes it possible to create IP
tunnels using DNS queries and replies for IP packet encapsulation
where IP traffic other than DNS isn't possible.

Import tex-uhc-fonts-extra.

This package provides 11 extra UHC fonts that can be used with HLaTeX:
graphic, gungseo, shinmun, pilgi, pen, bom, yetgul, jamo, vada,
pilgia, and dinaru.

Import tex-uhc-fonts-base.

This package provides three UHC fonts required by HLaTeX: myoungjo,
gothic, and taza.

Import tex-hlatex.

HLaTeX is a TeX macro package to typeset Hangul documents using LaTeX.
With this package, LaTeX and Lambda can process both EUC-KR and UTF-8
characters.

Import tex-foiltex from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Benedikt Meurer.

The FoilTeX is a collection of LaTeX files for making foils.  A number
of features are built-in including large sans serif font as normal
font, options for setting normalsize at 20pt (default), 17pt, 25pt or
30pt, new macros for starting new foils, for special environments like
Theorem and Proof, simple macros to control the headline and footline.
With Rokicki's dvips or Y&Y's dvipsone, it will even rotate individual
foils easily.

Import py-mssql from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Bartosz Kuzma.

This module provides access to MS SQL Servers from Python scripts.

This Perl module provides functions to compare pkgsrc Dewey numbers.

SquirrelMail decoding functions are used to display and convert messages
encoded in different character sets. Extra decoding library provides support
of some complex Eastern character sets and some rarely used Apple character
sets. Current release supports Big5, Windows-874 (cp874, Thai), Windows-949
(UHC, Korean), EUC-CN, EUC-JP, EUC-KR, EUC-TW, GB18030, GB2312, ISO-2022-CN,
ISO-2022-JP, ISO-2022-JP-2, ISO-2022-KR, Shift_JIS and various x-mac-*
character sets.

xenConsole (aka xcon) is a curses-based tty/console monitor for Xen 2.0,
basically presenting the output from 'xm list' in a full-screen interface
with additional domain information from SNMP, colours and somewhat realtime
updates.

Initial import of esniper 2.14.0.

Esniper is a simple, lightweight command line tool for sniping ebay auctions.
It runs on all flavors of Linux, Unix and Windows, and should adapt easily
to other operating systems.

Pkgsrc changes:
  - Added patch-aa to let esniper accept eBay passwords with unsafe
    characters (according to URL-encoding rules). Submitted to the upstream
    author (esniper-Bugs-1352595).

Import nload from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Bartosz Kuzma.

nload is a console application which monitors network traffic and
bandwidth usage in real time.  It visualizes the in- and outgoing
traffic using two graphs and provides additional info like the total
amount of transfered data and min/max network usage.

Import tex-passivetex from pkgsrc-wip.

PassiveTeX is a library of TeX macros which can be used to process an
XML document which results from an XSL transformation to formatting
objects.  PassiveTeX provides a rapid development environment for
experimenting with XSL FO, using a reliable pre-existing formatter.

Import tex-xmltex from pkgsrc-wip.

xmltex implements a non-validating parser for documents matching the
W3C XML Namespaces Recommendation.  The system may just be used to
parse the file (expanding entity references and normalising namespace
declarations) in which case it records a trace of the parse on the
terminal.  Normally however the information from the parse is used to
trigger TeX typesetting code.  Declarations (in TeX syntax) are
provided as part of xmltex to associate TeX code with the start and
end of each XML element, attributes, processing instructions, and with
unicode character data.

Import mpop from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Leonard Schmidt.

mpop is a small, fast, and portable POP3 client.  Its features include
header-based email filtering (filter junk mail before downloading it),
delivery to mbox files, maildir folders, or a mail delivery agent, a
very fast POP3 implementation, many authentication methods, and good
support for TLS/SSL.

Initial import of libxml++2, provided by Evaldo Gardenali in pkgsrc-wip.

libxml++ is a C++ wrapper for the libxml XML parser library. It has SAX and
DOM-like APIs, but does not attempt to conform exactly to the DOM
specifications because they are not aimed at C++. Its API is much simpler
than the underlying libxml C API.

Import esmtp from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Leonard Schmidt.

esmtp is a user-configurable relay-only Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) with
a sendmail-compatible syntax.  It is based on libESMTP supporting the
AUTH (including the CRAM-MD5 and NTLM SASL mechanisms) and the
StartTLS SMTP extensions.

Features include:
  * fully sendmail command-line compatible,
  * supports the AUTH SMTP extension, with the CRAM-MD5 and NTLM SASL
    mechanisms,
  * supports the StartTLS SMTP extension,
  * requires no administration privileges,
  * individual user configuration,
  * does not receive mail, expand aliases or manage a queue,
  * local mail delivery via a MDA.

Re-import bacula-client as bacula-clientonly, to emphasize it is a subset
of the bacula package, not a complement. Suggested by Geert Hendrickx.

Rename xfce4-gtk2-engines to xfce4-gtk2-engine to match the package name.

Add audio/cplay (by Geert Hendrickx, in PR 31928)

cplay is a curses front-end for various audio players. It aims to
provide a power-user-friendly interface with simple filelist and
playlist control.  cplay is written in Python and can use either
pyncurses or the standard curses module.

Term::Size is a Perl module which provides a straightforward way to
retrieve the terminal size.

This module retrieves the 1 minute, 5 minute, and 15 minute load average
of a machine.
