Use the Linux/glibc2.0 version on the i386 port; unlike the BSD/OS 2.1
version, it requires compat libs.  But, plugins work on the Linux version.

I don't pretend to understand the ELF crap either, but this makes Emacs
build/work on i386 ELF (and probably SPARC ELF, too).

XXX XXX.  Add a hack to allow "check-depends" to recurse the dependency tree
and override the `on-the-fly dependency target' option.
