1 Portupgrade is a tool to upgrade installed packages via ports or
2 packages. You can upgrade installed packages without having to
3 reinstall depending or dependent packages. It can automatically trace
4 dependency chains up and down upgrading packages recursively.
6 This package also includes the following utilities:
7 portinstall: Helps you install new ports in a handy way.
8 portsvnweb: Instantly lets you browse change history via SVNweb.
9 portversion: Replaces pkg_version(1) and helps you upgrade packages
10 with portupgrade(1). (runs much faster)
11 portsclean: Cleans ports workdir's, unreferenced distfiles,
12 old and orphan shared libraries, and stale packages.
13 portsdb: Creates binary database from the ports INDEX.
14 ports_glob: Expands ports globs.
15 pkg_deinstall: Wraps pkg_delete(1) and provides additional features.
16 pkg_fetch: Fetches packages from a remote site.
17 pkg_glob: Expands package globs.
18 pkg_which: Checks which package a file came from quickly.
19 pkgdb: Manages and searches the package database.
20 pkgdu: Display a disk usage for installed packages.
